Baltimore's genre-bending, nine-member collective Eat The Cake Band has officially released Flood, a powerful collision of hip-hop, psychedelic rock, soulful harmonies, and unapologetic truth.
But this is more than another song.
It's a declaration.

We've all experienced moments when life threatened to pull us under.
The voices that told us we weren't enough.

The battles nobody saw us fighting.
The versions of ourselves we had to leave behind just to survive.

As Mzz, Eat The Cake Band's firekeeping griot and lead storyteller, explains:
“Everybody talks about surviving the storm, but what happens when you realize you ARE the flood? This song is about remembering your power, especially when the world has convinced you that you don't have any.”
